lila by robert pirsig (same author of zen and the art of moto...)
white noise by don delillo

just a few off the top of the head that i really enjoyed

edit - whoops fiction you say huh h:

platform is pretty philosophical
lila is sort of an autobiography but not really
white noise is just a novel

The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer.
Not exactly light reading, but the best war memoir I've read. Very powerful.

It deals with the intelligence community and a lot of SigInt from the cold war.

Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah
Yeah a Starfucks book but it really was a great read and I think I finished it in a week with casual reading.

White Line Fever by Lemmy Kilmeister
The autobiography of the leader of the most excessive rock band ever. Pretty interesting read if you like autobiographies and Motorhead.
