My current vac is a Dirt Devil from 1995-ish?
The only issue I've had with it were user errors ... basically putting the carpet pile height switch for a hardfloor surface when cleaning carpets. That caused a rubber band to snap, a $10 repair.

in stores only.
If you have multiple levels on your house, get one for every floor. At 12.48 each, it saves the hassle of dragging 15lbs everywhere.
