so all in all what do you pay a month including the box rental? $60/month for HD? I'm just curious, I've thought about cable or dish but the price of both scare me off.

well for the digital plus service, HD service, HD box, HBO, Starz, Showtime i pay like $95 a month. remove the HBO, Starz & showtime and you would be down about $65 - $70

i dont think thats too terrible :dunno: but its not like i have a option, if i want tv i have to run comcast. the walls in my apartment arent really friendly to over the air

that too rich for my blood. I wish they had a lower tier package that included Discovery HD and a few other HD channels and the price came in around $40/month. I'm rockin the netflix and gamefly subscription for roughly $30/month combined as my entertainment.

i would think with the most basic digital cable + HD you would be about 50-55 :dunno:

if you really want the HD channels i'm sure there is some other luxury you could cut out, one bar night a week or maybe one less night a month where you eat out :dunno:

directv is like $50 a month for the first year with HD service ... thats not bad at all

I wish i could get rid of cable and only keep the sci-fi channel and cartoon network. Those are the only 2 channels i watch regularly. I got rid of the premium shit

I alread get free over the air HD as is right now, I can't justify $50/month just to get HD discovery and HD ESPN. those are the only channels I'd care to get, just not worth it to me for 2 channels. over the air HD channels offer plenty of programing for me to watch now so I am getting HD I'm just not paying to get it. Until I get the tax return I've cut my fun expense to the bare minium. I spend a ton on gas each week since I commute 60 miles a day, thats where a nice chunk of my cash ends up going.
