doesn't it seem like tax return time is almost like the lottery? you usually get something back but its a mystery of how much. of course some times you get shafted and you owe.

come on...no whammies!
I just wish that I could have had some more overtime to get me more cushioning in the tax bracket.

This is my 5th year with property, but I am still paying out the ass for interest and such.

Last year I got almost 6 grand back because of overtime. It was nice to pay everything off. Will be doing the same thing this year

I hear you on the overtime, I'm allowed to work overtime and put in about 10hrs a week of overtime. It so helps out a ton and give me an extra $5-6 grand a year.
its disgusting how much you pay in intrest, but since you get to use it as a write off its not quite as bad.

I get a lot of overtime if I do get it, but this last year I didn't have any. Lots of comp time, just no overtime.

And I agree on the interest, it is crazy, but in a couple of years I won't have to worry about it.

I didn't pay my 2006 Colorado income tax... I expected a call or something by now. I was just waiting for them to harrass me to do it. :hs:

Plus side, I'm pretty sure I'll have a decent return this year

i will have 3 w2's this year, Holly with have.... 4 h:

we used the H&R block software but since we sold the house and made a nice profit and then bought a new house, i think we might play it safe this year and have a CPA do our taxes.... we shall see...

and when the return comes (if we get a return...) i am looking forward to paying off debt with it

I'm definitely getting a pro this year. Too much to think about.
