Question for you.
I notice more often than not that a certain group of people pronounce the word "credit" like "credick."
My question to you is; Why can they say the word "debit" correctly but not "credit?"
Is this only in the south or does this happen in other places as well?

I think it wouldn't annoy me nearly as much if they said "debit" incorrectly as well.

Probably stems from the way some pronounce credit card, like credickard.
