Would somebody come play blockles with me?
I'll remove the poster's love for ambiguity.

It's a Tetris clone gathering internet fame. Don't get attached. It's only a matter of time till EA or Nintendo throws 3 tons of lawyers at it.
From what I'm seeing, it's nearly a direct rip of Tetris DS.

yeap.
Tetris DS introduced power-ups. Any given Tetris piece contains a "?" block. Smash the line with the "?" to get the power-up. Here's a list of stuff you can do ...
mushroom = rocket blocks for opponent. These will fly down the screen.
banana = scrambles your opponent's current block pile
red shell = removes 2 lines
lightning bolt = freezes opponent's dropping pieces. They can't flip them.
ghost = hides opponent's preview blocks
etc.
While Blockles seems to trigger the action event on a line break, Tetris DS allows users to "save" the power up for later.
