I just got a new phone and deactivated my old phone and activated the new one. They always say keep both phones off and the new one should be up and running in 4 hours, not to turn it on. Then they say don't turn on your old phone for ~24 hrs.

I always just turn on my new phone within an hour or 2. What's the purpose of that stuff, it's usually good to go alot sooner and what does the old phone have to do with anything? :thinking:

I'm using my new phone and I absolutely love it. Best phone out the box i've ever had and i've had quite a phones.

 

If it's sprint that told you that... they told me the same thing. I was up and running with my switched over number within 20 minutes. :dunno:
