Default Vista gurus help...

How do I make it so Vista stops reading folders when you click into them?

How the toolbar gets a green process bar. How do I stop that so it stops reading the data?

PLEASE HELP!

Maybe I should install XP

Actually I was planning on doing that. There is a 10gig partition on the drive that has a "RECOVERY" title that I might install XP on.

how do you install multiple OS's and then choose when you boot up?

I have a 80gig that is partitioned into 65 (Vista), 10 (RECOVERY) and a solo 500 that is data ONLY. No programs.

A grub will handle it. Not sure with XP and Vista if it includes a grub or if you need to set one up.

Serious answer: Hit escape.

If you are referring to the indexing of files, there is an option to turn it off somewhere in control panel. I'll find it when I get to work.
