in a vacuum, yes... the speed of sound is constant....


but the small amount of CO2 in air can alter the speeds of sounds higher than ~28kHz

The human ear wouldn't detect a difference, especially over a short distance that you would hear a dog barking.

I don't think they go over the CO2 in the air altering the speed of sound in basic physics classes. I took three physics classes and we never went over that. h:
