UPS SUCKS ......again, rant
Why do most companies ship with UPS, damn. I feel more comfortable with them using USPS. At least it'll get to your destination,......eventually.
So I ordered a headlight switch for my Audi and selected next day air ( stupid me, part is being shipped from NY to NY ) but at least its guaranteed for next day delivery.
I taped an 8 1/2x 11 paper , typed btw with the tracking number and my signature and also an additional signature on a post it note on the outside of the front door.
I Clearly typed to please ring the bell of the super, ( I put an arrow on the paper pointing to the right where the buzzer is ) so he can accept it.
Mind it I spoke to the super and he was going to be home etc.
So im tracking the status of my package and lo and behold this is what i see:
"THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE "
so I called UPS and told them their driver is fucken blind and should take english classes. Obviously its an urgent package since its for next day shipping.
I tell her whats in the box just so shes aware of the urgency and then begins to question me if i clearly noted on the letter what bell to ring etc..
I didnt answer her question as I took offense to that. I told her im not repeating myself. If she wants I can email it to her. She I tell her to call the driver and have him redeliver it today. Not now, not tomorrow but sometime before 8pm TONIGHT!.
At this point I felt like reaching through the phone and pimp slapping her.
She then says ohh that the nearest pickup location is 2 1/2 miles away.
I told her im aware of that but in order for me to get there I'd have to walk along the BQE ( Brooklyn Queens Expressway )because the side streets dont take me there. theres a creek thats between me and UPS center )
ALSO I HAVE NO DAMN HEADLIGHTS WHICH IS WHY I NEED THIS PACKAGE TODAY!!!!!!!
I then tell her that this is the third time UPS does this. If I spoke something other than English, Spanish & French Ill write that shlt out but wtf.. dont UPS drivers know how to read.
Plus I verified with my super and no one has rang his bell.
i usually bang my fiancee when stressed but due to the car accident i have a broken shoulder blade and it friggin hurts.
Im cranky =(

I hate UPS. 
I ordered something from california the same day I ordered something from Chicago(I live in central illinois).
FedEx had the california package here in 4 days. UPS had the chicago package here in 13. Both with standard ground.

Roadway failed on delivering the brake motor assembly for the MPN-25 today. I had to drive the GOV into Trenton to pick it up, then come back, hoist it 20 ft above the drive assembly and finally mount it.
