I haven't noticed any long term effects for me. I guess I got lucky.

It started the thinning hair on me, and never really went away. Also, the chapped lips never got entirely better.

yeah...my hair thinned out a lot, and only got worse.

My skin is still kinda dry, too. but I just use moisturizer and carry around chapstick all the time.

The worst part, about 5 years later, my acne came back. It is by no means as bad as it ever was, but now, at age 27 I still get acne.

i took accutane and i think it's worth it. although, i didnt have the side effects that a lot of other people have had

So is accutane the only med with these severe side effects? The only thing I'm concerned about is the thinning hair... It doesn't make sense to fix a problem (the acne) and to create a worse one (thinning hair)...

idk...

i use tetracyline, proactive, wash face at least 3 times a day, drink tons of water and im hardly stressed and i still break out.

Im stressed a lot actually with school and crap... Forgot about stress being a cause, now that I think about it over summer when I had no school, my skin improved a lot
