affordable dream car
Well duh. If I had a race car garage in a race car climate and in a state with race car curves I would have bought a race car. Unfortunately this is Michigan and I pretty much live like a Gypsy. A better comparison would be an E36 M3.
well duh so why make the comparison :shakeshead:

e39 is great, but its not as special to me, its the first M5 that wasnt hand built, and its big and heavy and has a v8 while i prefer the i6

why all the M5 hate?
the ITR isnt all that fast of a car, but its the absolute pinacle of front drive lightweight great handling imports
the e28 M5 is the same for me, its not the fastest car, but it is a fantastic handling rwd sedan that was at the forefront of the entire BMW M car era

To illustrate the marvel of modern technology.
Truth. If you want one get one, I'm sure it'd be a fun car. $8k is buying a whole lot of fun. My buddy has an E30 325i with a shitload of M3 parts that he autocrosses and drifts...holy hell what a blast it is, and I think he's only paid like $5k total including the car.
