So I was excited about the divx playback only to find out you have to have Windows Media Center. I have Windows XP Pro and now I can't even network my computer with my Xbox.
No more streaming music or video of any kind for me. Does anyone know a way around this?

try this: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...me/movies.aspx
it'll give you a prompt and ask you to update...or else it'll log you off of Live.

Update has kinda screwed up for me. Random disconnections from live - slower multiplayer game load times. Shit like that. Leave it to Microsoft to screw up an update. Takes like 5 minutes to find a game in Halo now, and is crazy laggy in all games. Did the same thing to my friends too.

locate the system section of the xbox 360 dashboard.
select memory, select hard drive, and then press Y to view the device options screen.
on the xbox 360 controller, press the X button, press the X button again, press the left bumper, press the right bumper, press the X button, and then press the X button again.
you will be prompted to confirm system maintenance, select yes by pressing A
