FiOS TV >> Comcast
While I was home for Thanksgiving, I had an opportunity to play around with my mom's FiOS TV. Last year, her and I both bought the Westinghouse 32" LCD door buster at Best Buy and the broadcast picture quality on FiOS is much better than Comcast. The biggest difference is that there is no artifacting during sports (NFL and NHL) that I experience up in Philly. Is this related to Comcast broadcasting in 1080i and FiOS broadcasting in 720p?
bingo.
on the newer sets, you can set the HD output via system menu.
keep the box turned off.
go to the actual machine and look for the configuration button
hit it, and you'll be taken to a ... well ... bios-ish screen for the box.
set it to whatever you want.

Thanks Drew, I will have to check it out when I get home. I live in an urban environment and the wiring to my apartment is -- well lets just say it's a freaking mess. That may be another problem with my picture.
I haven't heard about anything in regards to FiOS in my area but I was wondering what the best deal for Comcast is right now? I just got an HDTV but I don't need a huge number of channels or anything. I was thinking of getting the Triple Play deal again (already had it minus the HD programming at my apartment) but is there a better option maybe? I will need high speed internet, cable, and I may need phone service.
