I was always an avid Hotmail user. However, for a little over a year now I've used my Gmail account for work related stuff.

Now, Hotmail recently turned dumb with a new layout, so I now have everything forwarded to my Gmail.

Don't get me wrong, I love Gmail. But is there any way to change how the e-mails are displayed, in particular who they are from.

Example (David is a contact):
me, David (4) - - - What are you doing on Thanksgiving? - - - Nov 19

Can I get it to say: David Hoffman instead of just his first name?

Sounds dumb, but I liked how Hotmail displayed people’s full names.

 

nope, but you can just put your mouse cursor over the email and it will give you they're full info with out clicking anything.
