Lets say you drive by a strip mall every day and see a car that never leaves the parking lot. it has no plates, and has been in the same spot for about 4-5 weeks. its parked in a run down Dennys that is no longer open and is about 200 yards away from any other stores.

how would i go about buying the car.?

-i know i would have to try to find the last owner.
(what if he/she cant be found or contacted)

-If i contact the police can they impound it and then i can buy it from them once it is declared "no ones"?

- should i try the DMV? i dont think they can disclose that find of information (who the owner is)

-If step 2 happens do impound cars go right to auctions or can you buy it before that happens.?

-has any one bought a car from a impound lot? how muc did you pay?
