Well, I'm done my initial training for my career field and I'm now occupational, meaning I work on what I was trained. The classes I took were for RADAR systems that McGuire doesn't even have. There I was toying with these dinosaur systems, however, McGuire has all the newest systems. Basically, I'm learning something entirely different.
Lifestyle-wise...it's not bad. My shift is 0400-1200 then I'm me for the rest of the day. I live in a dorm, not my style since I lived in my own apartments for years, but once I rank up to Senior Airman (not for a while though) will I be permitted to move off-base.
Despite already having a bachelors, I hope to come out of the Air Force with another bachelors in some mechanical field, top-secret security clearance, and the GI Bill for my Masters' Degree once civilian....the package should entice many employers.
