Default computer dudes HELP v.screensaver/lcd issues

so most of the time (its intermittent) my screen saver never kicks in, nor does the monitor shut off after the user-set 10 minutes.

also, when turning off the power to the lcd (22 widescreen westinghouse) with windows running, it displays "no input" when turning it back on.

fyi - ati radeon 9700 pro with dvi cable, generic pnp monitor drivers for windows xp pro (i'm thinking it has something to do with this)

Try replacing the cables and see if that's the problem. Start eliminating factors

I dunno, no input to me sounds like something interrupting the connection between box-monitor. Could also be a loose video card, etc.

check any programs running the background preventing the screensaver or screen from going on standby
