I was thinking about this http://www.amazon.com/Sony-STR-DG510...4880362&sr=8-1

gonna be $100 on BF. My current receiver works fine. The only problem with it is it doesn't have enough inputs for alot of my stuff.

This is the one i have now

I wonder how much shipping is though. : \
I saw that one. From what I read, it includes a DVD player. Not sure how I feel about that since I already have a better one.

I think I'm gonna go into the store tonight and actually look. A lot can be said by actually playing around & listening. Most likely I'll end up w/ the original one unless I can be inspired

if you sign up it you get 10 points automatically which = 10 bucks and it is only 349.00. if you wait to the end of the month, it's 10 percent off. It is 1 year warranty for refurbished, but I've heard many good reviews about onkyo stuff. Go to the local Circuitcity to check it out.

Gotta look at it this way though, is several hours of your time really worth $100? I've decided many of the BF savings aren't worth my energy. I'll pay a bit extra to not have to deal w/ people h:

Well, I went to best buy tonight, and ended up getting the Yamaha setup for $320 (amazon pricematch FTW!) and picked up 2 Digi Optical 6ft cables at walmart for $15 each ($5 more each for not waiting on monoprice is worth it to me). Impressions in the store, sounds great. I'll post up tomorrow or the next day after I get it hooked up.

The only thing that sucks is that most low end receivers with HDMI will not support 1080p.

Yeah, this doesn't even have the HDMI. I'm gonna run it w/ the digital optical inputs. HDMI are directly to the TV.

Got it all hooked up tonight. Overall, very impressive from just HDTV. I'll watch a movie tomorrow night. For the price, this blows away the 200-300 all-in-ones that i've heard in the past. It was actually the speaker setup and the 500 watt receiver just packaged together for a discount.
