I wish...i buy alot of stuff but majority of it is discounted so it's not that big of a hit on my wallet. I'm actually toned down cus im trying to save up for a new apt. this time next year and a trip to mexico in july

Best buy had the Panasonic on sale for 349.99. It was actually a better camera then the JVC they had on black friday for 329.99. When i got there the only ones they had were open boxed ones. So i got the lady to drop the price of the open box one to 299.99. Before i committed to it though. I looked at a couple open boxed ones they had and came up with one that was dam near in new condition. Looked like they just opened it, looked at it and returned it. Everything was still sealed. So i opted to buy the 2 year accidental insurance for it as well.

 

Open box is a tough thing to judge, but it looks like you found a really good one. Main components still sealed in bag are a very good sign.

It does sound like someone tried it out, decided to upgrade or downgrade.

The 2 year insurance is more than enough too. If you're going to see any problems from the open box, you'll find it in the first month.



What kind of features does this thing have? Do you know the video format it's recorded to? Can you take videos from the Camcorder straight to your PC?

 

I honestly haven't tinkled with it too much yet. I've been too engrossed in FFXI. That's why my last game of Halo 3 was 11/19
