so...do to uh recent circumstances, I need more memory. Too impatient to order from crucial or online. What do we recommend for brands? h:

Thinking at least 1gig needed

Dell 8400 w/512mb ram

I like Kingston but Crucial is also good. Check out Fry's?

As long as you are not overclocking, most brands will be fine. When you start getting into overclocking, that is when you need to really think about what you get.
At least thats what my internet research has told me.

yea, there's a Fry's by my house and a best buy within 3 miles

they have Kingston in stock and some other ones like Kbyte? and PNY?

I trust Kingston over the other two :dunno:

no overclocking on my desktop, now my ppc is another thing :rick:

i just get the cheapest ram i can find. i dont notice the difference :dunno:
