Default Intercooler Water Sprayer Project Complete! (pics and vid)

Yes, it is complete at last, after finally receiving the sprayer nozzles I sent out for and getting enough free time. The only problem I have is that I can't seem to get the nozzles to point downward toward the intercooler, but since they have a 360 degree spray radius, the fluid is still hitting it significantly. Here's some pics:

Here is the additional pump motor I installed on the reservoir:

There was another spot for it to fit nicely on there because I think the 02-03 STI models come with the I/C spray option and they use the same reservoirs as the standard Impreza models so that worked out well. All I had to do was drill a hole for the new pump and make sure it was sealed to prevent leaks. Here's a shot of the vacuum tubing going from the pump into the hood scoop duct:

Here's another shot of the scoop duct from the bottom so you can see the spray nozzles:

Also, a shot of the switch I rigged up to turn it on and off:

For the switch I just drilled a hole in the fake button that was already there and slid it in there. The button was probably the biggest pain in the ass because I had to run the wires from the pump and the fusebox through the firewall and under the center console. I am just glad that I got all the wiring right on the first try Finally, here is a video of the sprayers in action:

Nice job, however to make it cleaner I'd suggest you zip-tie the i/c tubing lines along with the washer fluid lines going to the hood

Yeah, after looking at that second pic, I thought the same thing.

Blah, some minor complications recently. I think the heat under the hood caused the vacuum tubing to soften a bit and it slid off one end of the t-fitting. I will go to home depot today and get some o-clamps to tighten the connections on the nozzles and the t-fitting just in case it may happen again.
