It's not only that it turned into a "regular" mouse, it's also that I keep trying to use the scrollwheel and I keep getting frustrated that it isn't functioning. Double whammy ftl.

Yup....cause then it doesn't work but you're used to it working. So you'll constantly go to scroll and it won't causing you to get frustrated and ultimately throwing the damn thing against the wall. Looking at it in a few broken pieces I would say it's worthless.
