I've never heard of it melting fuel lines. Ethanol is corrosive, but when mixed with gasoline to make the E85 mixture, it seems to have no negative effects. I personally wouldn't run a mix of 87 and E85 mainly from a tuning standpoint. I began running E85 in my Evo about a month ago, and the tune had to be completely redone.
