skimmed the notice and i think it is another frivolous lawsuit. Just drives up the price of future products.

wait... doesnt it usually say HD's are counted in billions of bytes and not gigabytes on the box?

Was this the class action suit brought because hdd manufacturers used the 1000mb=1 gigabyte standard instead of the real 1024mb = 1 gigabyte?

they use 1,000,000,000 = 1GB and not 1,073,741,824 = 1GB

So 5% of what you paid after rebates but without tax?
Hmm. One 500 gig, three 250s right now. I had 3 other 160s before this.
Time to go receipt hunting!
