past performance != future results

Put in a rested, starting Kevin Jones against TB, versus a Brandon Marshall against Pitt, especially because Javon Walker is coming back this week.

Fuck you RB i get a daily digest of FF news and it hadn't come in when I posted that. Even with Javon Walker out, Brandon Marshall is inconsistent with one 100+ yard game and two touchdowns over five games. Not consistent numbers when you have a running back in an offensive system designed to spread the field and create running lanes.

Start Kevin Jones

Points wise, he's been consistant. On the games he's gotten touchdowns, he's had less yards. Very consistant numbers when you're starting a running back who hasn't started.

Agreed. They will have a tough time running against Pitt, so they will have to throw...and B.Marshall is the #1 receiver now. I'd give KJ a week to see how he does before I started him.

go with marshall. Detroit is pass happy and Tampa is pretty good against the run so both of those hurt Jones

The Broncos are going to get schooled by the Steelers. Both teams are coming off of a bye, but the Steelers are healthy (ward, holmes, polamalu) and a solid team. You have a second year QB throwing to a bunch of relative no-names with your star WR going out for 1 month+ with surgery.

On the other hand, you have Detroit also coming off a bye and slaughtering by the Redskins, taking on TB which has lost two running backs. Detroit's defense gets takeaways and their passing game is potent with Calvin Johnson getting a week off to mend a bit. The game is going to be a blowout allowing Kevin Jones to run down the clock. Not to mention, he has played three games and while yardage has been mediocre, he has scored two TDs.

Look, I take a situational approach to who I start and sit and IMHO, Detroit has more upside against TB than Denver has against Pitt.

You're severely underestimating TB's defense.

Detroit's defense is horrible...lol. They are allowing more points and yards than anybody in the NFC. Tampa Bay is going to win that game. They just picked up LJ's backup, Michael Bennett. The TB defense is also allowing just 14.5 points per game.

You don't need a big name to put up points, and Cutler has a gun for an arm.
