Anybody know how many contacts a typical Cingular/AT&T sim card can hold? I got a new phone today from my buddy at work...popped in my SIM card, and only had 3 contacts. Apparently I had been storing all the other ones to my phone instead of the card. Can I put the card back in my Razr and have an option to send all the contacts to the SIM card? Or should I just take it to the store and have them transfer? The Razr won't even let me get into my contacts or any menus without having the SIM card in.

Ideas?

New phone is a Treo 750 btw.

 

You don't necessarily have to transfer the contacts through the SIM. You could transfer contacts via bluetooth as well.

Otherwise, a 32k SIM card could hold 250 numbers. I think a 64k SIM card could hold more.

 

But I would need two SIM cards to transfer via bluetooth right?

 

Turned on the Treo with no SIM....had the SIM in my Razr...turned bluetooth on both, connected, but couldn't transfer contacts. It said it wasn't supported???

I guess my options are to have them transferred at the store for a cost, or just go through my Razr and store all the contacts to the SIM.

 

Store everything on SIM, also use ActiveSync to store contacts in outlook, if you have it. h:

I think the sim holds 250, just copy all your contacts from the razr to the card. It's easy, I told my sister what to look for and she did it
