What I realized.. the second time I saw Death Proof (last night after purchasing) was the full implications of the title. OMG.. the ending is just so ridiculously hot and bad ass. Seriously.

ew, I couldn't stand her face in the theaters, great movie tho.

 

Meh... she's not ugly.. she could kick some hard core ass and crazy agile. Plus she has an accent. win in my book.

 

I really liked the stunt scenes and Kurt Russell's character. However, I'm gonna have to go against the trend here and say that overall it was a let down.

The movie spent way too much time just sitting around chatting. If I wanted to listen to a bunch of women talk & complain about their lives/boyfriends/jobs or tell stories about people I don't know for an hour and a half I can go to the bar across the street and pretend to be interested in what random people have to say. Especially seeing it in the theater, after watching the action-packed Planet-Terror and sitting in the same freakin' seat for 3 hours, the slow down of the first 3/4 of Death Proof was just too much.

I liked Planet Terror a lot. Silly premise, lots of action, a missing reel that seemed important, and a great cameo.
