Default quick mac q

gf's dad got a imac and needs to run a program that as far as i can tell wont run on a mac, also its an intel based mac

he only uses the program every once in a while, but there isnt any other program that he can use instead that will run on a mac, his customers use it so it isnt his choice

so whats the easiest solution?
i found bootcamp will be coming out soon, and parallels is out and sounds like it would work

he isnt computer literate at all so the simpler the better, but i can do the install for him and am decent enough with pcs just not familiar with macs

im sure there is a simple solution, but all the mac shit scares me, so advice?

parallels or vmware fusion. i dont see any reason to go with bootcamp...too much to go thru just to get one program to work.

thats kind of what i thought, but it is coming with the new os so i thought it might be a good idea
i will check both parallels and vmware out, parellels seems easy enough from what i have read so far

i thought i read something about parallels not working with intel macs, but i think that must have been some other program h:

he does mobile installations
basically he installs all kinds of crazy shit in peoples cars, lights, sirens, gun racks, makes police cars, gov't cars, even did a few helicopters and some police boats, pretty cool stuff really

its a program that interacts with the control box for lights and sirens for cop cars, he customizes what buttons do what, and sets up combos for like when you pull someone over and have lights on but no strobe or siren, or when chasing and its strobe and siren and flashers, it was fun to mess with

so he doesnt get to choose what program to use, its what they buy and he has to install and setup
i do know its a $800 program though

thanks for the help guys, saved me lots of time trying to sort through all the technobabble i was finding on google
