They extended the 3 RROD coverage for up to 3 years after it was purchased. It's easy to register the box too, so you should be fine.

if he got on xbl and xbox.com and reigstered his gammer tag with that xbox it has a warranty through microsoft. if he didn't then you can reigster it and have the warranty. I would tell him just because of the 3 ring factor and its a 06 ill give u 150 right now.

It's a brand new copy, but not shrink wrapped. It's directly from Microsoft with an employee purchase sticker right on the sleeve. It's sealed with the side security badges. It's absolutely brand new and unused.

 

I just got off the phone with XBox and the warranty IS transferable and it IS for 3 eyars for the red ring of death. (the lady actually called it that so I :chuckled

Think it's still good deal?
