Quad core crew?
Got my new Q6600. Assembled it last night. Anyone else on the quad core trend?

This isn't my gaming rig. this is my budget gaming rig.
oh and if the penryn is that much better I am sure I can get it for the same low price I paid for the q6600 :fawk: and just swap it in to the system

wanna bet? I paid $145 for the q6600. and penryn wont be 3x better maybe 1.25x or 1.5x but not 3x h: if the penryn quad 2.4ghz comes out to be $145 i'll send you my old P4 3.2GHz

I wanted to but $266 for the lowest quad is steep for me. I was thinking about getting an E4400 and OCing the shit out of it until the 45nm Quads come out. Would this be a good idea?
