Default This really grinds my gears

I'm studying for a Networks test tomorrow morning and writing some formulas down to study and for a notecard. After looking over the formulas again, I realize that during the homework earlier this year that I spent hours and hours confused over, I was using the wrong formulas. I hate when that happens. I just hope I can get down the conversions on the test. :nervous:

Byte to bit
Kilobyte to kilobit and bit
Megabyte to megabit and kilobit and bit

I'm trying to find an easy way to write it down and I keep confusing myself
8 bits in a byte. 1024 bytes in a KB. 8192 bits in a KB. 1048576 bytes in a MB. 8388608 bits in a MB. Right?

you're seriously being tested on how many bits are in a megabyte? who cares!? just know that its slightly more than 1.00mb.

I don't do tests well. I tend to overthink and confuse myself so I like to write things down. I'm a visual person. :gtfo:

We have to calculate different delays. Like the end to end delay of a transmission and the nodal delay. Its pretty stupid.

Dude, all you need to remember are the first two....
8 bits
1024 bytes, then know the metric conversions kilo=100, mega=x1000, giga is 1000 more tera is 1000 more....to figure out any of those in bytes, multipy by 8
