Default Logitech Peeps

friend got a free Logitech Harmony 659 remote and he was wondering if it was possible to control the his PS2 with it... i told him that there was probably a way but i can't find anything on the www h:

just tell him to sit at the couch with the TV on and the PS2 off. Make sure he has direct line of site to the PS2. Then throw it at the ON button.

Probably could. I have a 520 and it has an option to control video game consoles.

yes you can. when he sets it up it will even ask if he as an older ps2 or a newer slim line one.

He would still need the IR reciever (from the PS2 DVD remote) plugged into the PS2. Other than that, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

not true at all.

that ir receiver is for the sony remote. i can control my ps2 with my harmony just fine.

Not necessarily. The IR dongle was built into both the slim and "fatty" PS2 a few iterations ago.
