Jealous of what I might ask? We've owned the Yankees as of late. I hope we get them in the first round. Might as well save us a spot in the ALCS ARod can check out the scenery while he's in Anaheim. Maybe check out some real estate for a future move

if the yanks made up enough ground to get them into the playoffs, im not sure much is going to stand in their way.

only time will tell...

I know. That'd be crazy. Sometimes a bunch of stars on one team don't mesh though....:hsugh:

they usually go into the playoffs after winning the division. Even when they weren't in first didn't they lead the Wild card anyways or were only a couple games out? Even if they dont win the division they will win the wild card most likely which is where they've been most of the year

they arent in first now, nor have they been since like game 1. they narrowed a 14.5 game deficit to the redsox and are now 2 behind (could change after tonights games)

they were in last place in the east for a little while and it has been a long climb to get where they are now.

I know they're not in first now. But for the time they havent been in first weren't they leading the wild card or within a game or 2? I'm just saying they were leading the wild card and still are. On the road the Angels have been shit this year but at home they are dominating

they have been on top of the wild card for the last month or so. but their 2nd half surge is the only reason they are in a position where they will be making the playoffs (unless they lose tonight and for the final 5 games)

they have momentum in their favor.

now, i can admit that the angels tend to be successful against the yankees but its a different game in october. im not sure if the yankees have the makeup of a championship team - pitching lacks but i do think they will roll through the 1st round.

interesting. They will have momentum but I dont think they'll roll through the first round. Like you said they are only in the playoffs because of a late surge. Momentum can only go for so long. Only downside to the Angels is they're not a big run team. Their play resembles NL ball rather than AL. Vlad is their only legit HR threat. They have other guys that can do it but not really homerun hitters
