Default I killed my 3rd engine on the accord

blown head gasket

I freaking hate my accord right now, I'm thinking a new car is a very real possibility. I'm so used to having no car payments now. Of course it comes at the worst possible time too. I'd love to get a new civic Si sedan, I'm thinking of heading over to the dealership to check it out and to see what I can afford. I'd love a TSX but its a little out of my range.

well the first one died at 150K, it was old and the rings went out. 2nd one the timing belt tensioner failed 10K into that motor. 3rd motor went roughly 15-20k into the new motor. I'm not sure how those could be considered the fault of the driver.

but then the head would have to be milled and with the cost of thing it would be the same as swapping in another motor.

exactly, I'm getting a little tired of swaping out motors. its killing me, I think I'd rather deal with a monthly payment to know that the car will be running strong for 8 years roughly. I can't afford the down time to do the G swap. I'm having a review with work and should be getting a company car soon, but its not soon enought. If I had that, then I'd definatly do the G23.

How long until you get a company car? If it is only a few weeks or so, maybe look into getting a rental? Maybe you can get discount rates for renting for an extended period? Might be better than buying a new car and having payments for four years?

new cars are too damn expensive. If you get financing at all, you'll need full coverage, you'll have to pay all the appropriate taxes (I never paid sales tax for a car until I bought the g20). Beaters fo life h:

The new Si sedan is a lovely car though.
