I am stoked. Just got an email from a video editor who wants to help out on one of my ideas. The premise is a documentary / lifecast about dive bars in the city. We would talk to the proprietors, bartenders, and patrons with a goal of promoting the bar and entertaining our audience. We are going to talk next week about the details but this will give me an opportunity to have fun while creating something.
I haven't decided if I will do any face time but my friend dawn is 100% down for talking to people. Guess it helps to have a cute blonde in front of the camera
to me, dive bars are off the beaten path and have unique characteristics that the mainstream bars don't have. For example I know one bar that only serves local and regional beers, nothing 'popular'. Others may be long standing holes-in-the-wall that have withstood good and bad times of a particular neighborhood.
