its not that hard in lone wolves, basically if you are top 50% you rank upward. so out of 6 players you need to be top 3. if you come in first you move up quicker.

another thing to recognize is that its not about k/d ratio, its about total kills on slayer. so if you constantly go and get double deaths by melee its ok as long as you have lots of kills :0

i'm pretty sure you rank up faster if you die less than other people with the same amount of kills.
