ill be on in a bit im sick so didnt make it to work today.

 

i was getting real pissed last night. no matter what i did, i would die. i'm either too early or too late with the shotgun. my melees wouldn't do anything, and i'd end up getting beat down. or if not, it'd take longer for me to be able to melee or shoot than it would take the other and i'd die.

 

One trick that I have learned is with the shotgun when you are running at each other, pull back on the stick then forward pulling the trigger and melee. Often times the person is just bum rushing you but if you can put a step of distance between you and him the blast isn't as powerful. It is a TINY bit more effective.

 

One thing to try to, this is hard to get use to. But if someone else is coming at you with the shotty or a mauler and you have one or the other; of if you're just low and health and you know the other guy is too and you're a melee away from the kill or death. Crouch and punch. There fist will go over you and you'll get the nut shot kill.

 

yeah, i don't know what the deal is. usually what happens is i'm running at a guy and i'll shoot him and go for the melee but he ends up shooting me from a closer distance and killing me with that shot before my melee does anything. maybe i don't know how far away a melee will work from. i think i might try to get too close and end up dying first. whatever it is, i freakin' hate it.

i also suck with the BR. apparently my headshots don't do as much damage as other peoples. last night i shot a guy like 10 times and he didn't die, but he only has to shoot me a couple. and every time i shot, i had the dot in the middle saying it was aimed at their head.

 

Also how far does someone lunge forward when melee'ing? I always see the person do a superhuman lunge as I am laying on the ground dead...
How far away were you to them? The battle rifle is not as accurate as the sniper. I would have fucks pegging my head from across the Construct board while I would shoot and not much damage...

 

i think the sword has a greater lunge distance.... i don't really know how far the normal melee lunge distance is though.


he definitely had a BR (it was team BRs i think). we were pretty close to each other.
