Spent time with Reach yesterday.
Notes:
+ In some modes of play, the armor abilities aren't load outs. They can be picked up on the map much like an H3 power drain. When you pick one up, it's all yours until you die. You can also swap when you run into another.
+ There are 2 armor abilities not mentioned anywhere.
1. Hologram. Hit this and a visual duplicate of your spartan charges onto the field of play. He will keep running until he hits a solid object. At that point, the hologram will vanish if shot up x amount of times or if your meter runs out.
2. Bubble shield. Just like H3, but this one is blue. Step into it and it feels like you're wrapped in 6K hids.
+ There are 8 initial matchmaking maps.
+ Firefight maps are not the matchmaking maps.
+ Forge is extremely powerful. There's a ton more things to do / play with.
+ The rocket launcher creates a heatwave when launched. Also, the velocity of the rocket causes the player's screen to shake until the explosive gets the f away.
+ The big one ... air support. You have the ability to pick up a tagger gun (looks like a stubby pistol). Charge it up (like a laser) on an object. When fully locked, radio support echos into your headset and a blast radius is marked on the ground. Run away from it. A pelican makes it rain for massive multi-kill opportunities.
I saw this in Firefight and Campaign. Not sure if this is in matchmaking.
