I need to stop looking at these threads though, I'm really jonesin' to play the game bad at this point, mainly multiplayer.

I almost never play anything but racing games though, so at least I can take comfort in the knowledge that I'm being saved from a lot of shame and embarrassment - I would suck so hard at multiplayer h:

so my internet is dead...
i'm borrowing my neighbor's wireless right now. but i dont have wireless for the 360.. so i wont be on for a few days. I'm play the campaign tho. i'm getting better
but i can't find bullets while i'm playing on easy
like i can't find bullets for the battle rifle

 

There's a skull called "famine". When you activate it, all weapons picked up have a fraction of a full clip. That sucks badly.


Tips for ammo ...
If you can't find weapons, take your backup's gun.
If you see a downed plane, of course, run around.
Look for green pods stuck in the ground, those have guns in them.

Before you grab ammo, load your clip first. This way, you'll be picking up the maximum you can carry.



what stage are you on? Some levels are built not to have more than 1 clip's worth. (especially for the spartan laser, sniper, and rocket launcher)




I forgot the name of the gun (the alien one that you can charge up, generates a big green ball) ... but I've been using that quite a bit lately.

I'll charge the gun, get close, lock in, and either chuck grenades or punch right away.

 

You would've loved Halo 2 matchmaking. There was a game that would show up in team slayer sometimes called Plasma Punchout. Where basically everyone started off with plasma guns and that's all there was. You would see someone, shoot them with the plasma gun and the only way they would die is either you manage to shoot them to death (highly unlikely) or you punch them. Awwww man that was great times, i hope they bring that back.

Drew i think what would make you an even better player is if you play alot of games of Team Swat. Basically it's playing with no shields on. You'll learn how to get headshots and keep your reticule on them real easily. You'll also learn how to become real slippery and get out of sticky messes.

The Plamsa gun is terrific because you can melee so quickly after shooting. I was messing around on a friend's custom level.

He wanted to use beams as the only weapon, but couldn't default the start weapon as beams. Default was the plasma gun.

I was whopping ass with that only. Screw beams.


I've never tried Team Swat yet.

Damn.


My sniper shooting is getting somewhat better ... but practice is a must.









On a side note, Bungie needs to release H1's "Hang Em High" already. Dear lord, that's still the mother of all stages.

I'm not a fan of Construct.
I can't stand Isolation.
Snowbound is do-able, but not preferred.

High Ground isn't bad at all.
Sandtrap is fantastic.
Vahalla is great too.
