Each level has their own tricks.

On the pit level, be the first to reach a shotgun spawn point. Grab the shotty, camp out, and watch the red dots come flying to your location. When they turn the corner, blast. Keep a sticky grenade ready for launch too.

That's how I get such a high kill to death ratio. I rarely die on that stage.


The needler is an awesome midrange weapon. The speed of the rounds is the fastest in the game. I don't like to use this up close though. It triggers off the victim's plasma grenades. You're screwed if you're too close.


Always keep a battle rifle with you. It's the most easily accessible long range weapon. You can always assist with cover fire this way.


Know what weapons you're carrying. Never hold 2 of the same type ... (ex sniper + battle rifle.


Also, know what you're up against.
+ If you see a group of 3 guys, don't go charging in there.
+ If you're going one on one and you hear a shotgun go off, turn a corner and create distance.
+ In team battle, swords and hammers are useless.



and by all means, stick together during team slayer.
