So...for some reason, they shipped the capture card over night, but the hdmi splitter won't be here till March 16th :ugh:

So I'm going to leave work a lil bit early and hit up Fry's and just buy a splitter.
I have downloaded a few different video capturing programs and I have to drag my PC out to the living room and get it set up somewhere out of the way, so tonight will be a bunch of testing.
Make sure you guys save your overkills and such so I can start making a small montage for us if all goes well.

so, last night my wife and i were talking about a new monitor. i almost got her to approve it, but i made the mistake of changing from my tv to my monitor before getting a new one. she doesn't see the difference between my current monitor and a new one other than size. so then i was telling her that really what i need is a new xbox for hdmi which would then open up new options as far as monitors go. i think she kind of understood that, but didn't like the idea of buying a new xbox when the one i have works fine. she told me that she doesn't want to get anything that's gonna make me play more. :rofl:
anyway, it would be nice to have a slightly bigger monitor, but i am liking my current set up. i'm playing at my desk which is a much better seating situation, and the desk lets me rest my arms and controller higher than say my lap which seems to work better for me. i think i'm getting better, but i still die way too much. i don't know how you guys don't die.
