Default Following people.

Wasn't gonna post this but since it's slow and I'm waiting on a download...

The other night after work I was at a stoplight, turns green, I start to take off and all of a sudden this kid in a silver grandprix turns in front of me.

He was a ways back so I didn't even think about him trying to make it, he was way late on the lights.

Anyway, I had to slam the brakes not to hit him. I'm guessing I had only gotten up to 5mph at that point but I still heard/felt my ABS kick in. He also hit his brakes and came to a stop in front of me.

We ended up an inch apart at most and I hear what turned out to be my license plate slapping against my bumper from the Gs with my car stalled b/c it happened so fast I didn't even think to get on the clutch pedal.

He looks at me and then takes off so I start back up and crank the wheel to the right, slowly crawl past a pickup in the turning lane to my right and floor it to catch up to the grandprix.

He's running, over the limit, etc. I catch up and then follow him and he knows it's me, slows down, I keep my distance.

He ends up taking side streets at slow speed as if he's trying to think of what to do next and finally goes down an alley. At the end he has to stop and wait for traffic so I pull up behind him and get out.

I wave my arms as if to say everything's allright, get up to the car and his window's down.
He immediately starts apologizing, says sorry over and over again.

He was younger than me, maybe 18 at the most.

I was nice about it, told him I make mistakes too (but I've never done that sorta shit) and say I just wanted to make sure we didn't hit.

I take a quick look at the side of the car and agree with him that it was scary and that was pretty much it, I then reversed outta the alley and went home.

I didn't want him to just get off scott free after making me slam my brakes for the 2nd time this month (1st was 80mph to 20, don't ask h and though I didn't think we touched I wasn't sure and I didn't think he should just drive off that way, especially when he sees me follow him.

So anyone else done something like that or is it too stupid?

I agree with Aux. You're an idiot for doing that. Shoulda just got his plate, pulled into a lot, checked for damage. If there was damage, Hit and Run for him. Not work risking the guy freaking and killing you.

Well, the main point was to share the ghey story.

I know it could've gone badly but then again not many people carry guns in their cars around here, despite the large number of owners.

Would I do it again? Hopefully won't be in that situation again but if I am I think I'll try Marshy's idea.

And just for the record, I wasn't riding the ass of his car with mine. I was a good car length behind at all times until I finally stopped behind him in the ally.

I only ride someone's ass when I'm about to pass, though I know better.

you could have just put your hand out the window and gave him the finger. or better yet, you could've done nothing and just went about your day.
