so, my kitty died a little while back (link), and the other kitty we had was sad, and lonely, so we decided to get another one.

we looked around a while, and found a couple we liked but they wouldn't call us back or were shady, so we kept looking. finally we came upon a kitty named hecate (the greek goddess of the crossroads) at a petsmart adoption center. we only saw the pictures online at first, and we decided to meet the kitty and see if we liked her.

at first, i thought she was ugly. one of the ugliest kitties ever. she has a big nose, and just looks funny. but we decided to take her anyway. then she met kirk and they didn't get along, and we started thinking about taking her back.

but along came the weekend, and we thought we should give them some time. eventually her looks grew on me, and she's getting along with kirk, and now i kind of like her. she's crazy, which fits with kirk, and does some funny things. we changed her name to Samantha (sam for short). here she is:

the pictures don't quite capture it. i thought she was super cute from the pictures i saw before i met her. but in person, it's totally different.

 

I miss mah kitty.. contemplating getting two kittens but they are not allowed in the complex. Everyone and their mother has them here though, and even seen them in windows. Hmm..

 

Pfft, management will never notice a cat. Unless you get unlucky and get a prolific meower h:
