I didn't know you had machining experience. Good Luck.

Don't really have machining experience but I have worked a few CNC lathes and saws so the skills are kind of transferrable. He said they will teach me what I need to know

Now I just need to study for this test....where would I find some clean urine...hmm

You seem mechanically inclined enough that you should be fine. If you've got any questions I might be able to help you with just ask. I've been doing this shit for nine years. I'm mostly a lathe guy but I know some mills. I don't suppose you know what brand of machines, do you?

No not sure at all he just hit me up on AIM and asked me if I was in steady work and if I wanted to be in some until about Dec/Jan I figure a little extra income and the knowledge can't possibly hurt me any.

Oh but it will be machining truck parts so I assume a steel lathe or milling machine.

they're likely bigger than anything we have anyway. They'll probably have you finishing off some castings or something like that. If it's anything like the shops around here it's a pretty laid back atmosphere. Maybe you'll even get to sneak in some "government work" after hours. :rick:
