that I'd put music on a Sansa she bought (through me), BUT I just lost all my music... so now I'm screwed

i would. i have it backed up on two externals and three of my friends have my whole collection too, so im pretty much covered.

getdataback worked decently for me, i found about half my music after i had to reformat the laptop
do a little google searching and you may even find it for a "good" price

my car was broken into and ipod stolen the same day my lappy crashed, that was a shitty day
