Default Bi-Xenon HID kit question

i bought a new set of hids for the civic and installed them yesterday, also included in the packaging was a relay harness. now i didn't use the relay harness is it going to harm anything if i didn't use it and the hids are still working?

i put this in the basement because i thought i could get a faster response

there are certain plug and play kits that are low current draw...those are ok w/o a relay-battery setup. otherwise, you shouldn't.
