20k is teh suck ass segment. the volvo is gonna coast you more that 20k. i think its invoice is around 26-28k.

i would shell a bit more dinero and look into
1. Infiniti G35
2. Lexux IS300

volvo are being advertised around me for 23K for the T5 model for the 2005. the 2004.5 is being adv. for 21K by the time i have all the money put together it would probably be around 20G

New or used, the tC is dull, with a mediocre motor and confused design.
Already looks very dated IMO.

The Celica GT-S was ruined after the mid-model refresh and it wasn't the most reliable of models to begin with. And that TRD kit didn't help either. :ugh:

I'd second the new Cooper S (not the JCW GP shown above) if you can deal with the goofy interior.
Otherwise, I'd say used RSX-S and pocket some money in the process.

 

Huh, that's weird, I could've sworn there was an infiniti w/ 4 doors based on the Z but then again, I only occasionally read things about Nissan stuff in Car&Driver.
