yeah the battery life on the opteka batteries is kinda eh, but the grip itself isnt terrible. the shutter button is kinda weird, but its nothing crazy. go for it, u wont regret it. or look into the targus grip too. they're all made in china so go figure.

the big with a laptop? i doubt it haha

man up and get the Canon BG. I had the knock off one on my old 300D which i returned and bought the Canon one. Night and day difference IMO.
