what you get in the store and what goes through the plant are different corn

 

Soybeans = Biodiesel
Corn = E85

Now the farmers will want to grow soybeans and give up corn...resulting in corn jumping in price

I buy soy burgers for dinner, and that shit is better than an actual beef burger IMO

 

biodiesel can be made out of a multitude of things ... soybeans is just the best end result

and that second part is not true either ... growing soybeans and growing corn are different. soybeans require much more attention. different soil requirements, different water requirements. most farmers are not going to jump into a new crop simply because a new plant is constructed. The track record for profit isnt there for them to risk it all unless they have a reserve to fall back on and most farmers nowadays dont have that, they go from crop harvest to crop harvest. one bad harvest can bankrupt them.

i know farming ... and i know prices wont increase like all these people keep saying.

but the fact that this plant is now up and running is freaking awesome ... makes me want a diesel car a lil bit

would be nice to convert the tractors over to biodiesel .. MI needs a plant
